Beach vacations are about having
fun and relaxing along Florida and Alabama's Gulf Coast. Our approach to your
Florida or Alabama Beach portrait session is the same. We want you to be at ease
and as the locals say “on island time” during the time we are capturing the
spirit of your beach stay. We take care of the little details to make you look
your best; from individuals to large family reunions are all part of the fun!
Capturing perfect Florida or Alabama Beach Portraits requires planning,
understanding the beach environment, posing our clients to look their best,
attention to the little details, and photographic experience dealing with the
ever-changing lighting encountered on our sugar white beaches in the sunshine.
We take a team approach using a seasoned photographer working with an expert in
placing our clients so they look their best. We work as a team with one working
with the clients to make sure they look their absolute best; with their hair
working with the wind, jewelry hanging straight, giving advice on how to deal
with the sun to reduce squinting, and posed for the best results. It leaves the
photographer free to concentrate on catching the perfect picture. We work hard
to capture your special moments often taking 300 photographs or more to capture
those perfect 60 you will receive in your custom bound proof portfolio.
Our team approach to Beach Photography is ideal to
capture Children’s Beach Portraits both in a traditional posed portrait
style and also in a more relaxed and casual photojournalistic approach
where we allow them to be themselves and capture the essence of their
childhood memories on the beach. Young children react with a sense of
awe and wonderment to the beach and are eager to explore it. We leave
time in the portrait shoot so their curiosity can be satisfied and often
times younger children are best photographed using this technique.
Because we don't limit ourselves to the number of pictures we shoot on
any session we are able to capture a large number of candid photographs
of children being children and then present the best of the best in your
bound proof portfolio with custom designed cover. Please visit our

The best time to have your portraits shot along
our Gulf Coast Beaches is the hour before sunset. The lighting has
turned softer as the sun nears the horizon and turns a bit golden to
produce the most flattering beach portraits possible. The low sun angle
also adds dimensionality to the portraits. As a result, we like to limit
our shoots to one a day starting about an hour before sunset and working
a bit past sunset. The second option is sunrise as the sun works it's
way up. The lighting on the beach at any other time may be too bright
and could cast harsh shadows, cause excessive squinting, and is not very
flattering.
We capture your portraits using state of the art Nikon digital
cameras, lenses, and flashes. Shooting digital allows us to take
hundreds of shots each session to get those perfect portraits. Your
photographs are then displayed on our online storefront so they may be
shared with your friends and relatives. We keep your portraits in the
storefront for a year and present them in both color and black and
white. We also prepare a bound proof portfolio with a unique custom
designed cover that becomes a treasured keepsake documenting your Beach
vacation along our Gulf Coast.

When you see our posted price on our packages, it covers the
sitting fee, an abundant amount of proofs in a custom designed
bound proof portfolio plus your proofs posted in your own online
Gallery for family/friends to see, and a generous enlargement allotment.
There are no hidden prices on our enlargements. We price our enlargements so
that they are affordable. All of our enlargements are top
quality, professional grade, beautiful prints at affordable
prices designed to last a lifetime. Proofs or posted
online for a minimum for a year in both color and black and
white. Sepia may be substituted for black and white
in the online gallery.
Standard Portrait Package (up to 10

A typical family portrait session, at the
location of your choice, includes group shots of entire family,
shots of children together and individually, in various poses,
parents together and individually, various group poses (on sand,
by water, walking on beach, on boardwalks), and other groupings
suitable for your family such as mother/daughter, father/son,
and we also include candids as they happen during the shoot.

Booking Options:
Book with a deposit: Call or email to Reserve
a date/time. You will be asked to download the contract/terms,
complete and mail in with a $100 deposit. Once this is
received by us, your date will be firmly booked. We will
hold that date/time for you.
Not sure when you'll be coming...give us a call to Book
when you arrive at your Gulf Coast destination: If
it is difficult to decide on a date/time prior to arriving, you
can contact us for available dates for beach portraits once you
arrive at your Gulf Coast destination. We would require a
credit card number prior to meeting you at the designated
location. We will not charge the card until after the
shoot, at which time you can pay by cash or check at the photo
session. If you fail to show up at the designated
place/time, $100.00 will be charged to your card (no
show fee).
All prints and enlargements are printed at a professional
photo lab. Custom enlargements individually processed with
standard correction. Mounted and Sealed prints are
sprayed with a water based coating for additional protection and
mounted on a 3mm board to prevent bending and warping.
Premier Enlargements are digitally hand retouched to correct
imperfections and touch up unflattering shadows, wrinkles, zits,
etc., (for groups of five or less). Braces removal is
extra $35.00 per head. Premier Canvas is
linen textured and stretched on a frame, and includes the
Premier retouching.
Shipping/Handling: No additional fees for the proof
portfolios mailed to you via US Postal Service Priority Mail.
A minimum shipping/handling fee of $8.00 will apply to all
orders placed.
Alabama or Florida Sales Tax
added to all portrait package sessions within Alabama and
Florida, and enlargement/print orders placed from within
Florida.
