We want you to be at ease and as the locals say, "on island time"� during the time we are capturing the spirit of your beach stay. We take care of the little details to make you look your best; from individuals to large family reunions, are all part of the fun!

Capturing perfect Beach Portraits requires planning, understanding the beach environment, posing our clients to look their best, attention to the little details, and photographic experience dealing with the ever-changing lighting encountered on our sugar white beaches in the sunshine. We take a team approach using a seasoned photographer working with an expert in placing our clients so they look their best. We work as a team with one working with the clients to make sure they look their absolute best; with their hair working with the wind, jewelry hanging straight, giving advice on how to deal with the sun to reduce squinting, and posed for the best results. It leaves the photographer free to concentrate on catching the perfect portrait.

Our team approach to Beach Photography is ideal to capture Children's Beach Portraits both in a traditional posed portrait style and also in a more relaxed and casual photojournalistic approach where we allow them to be themselves and capture the essence of their childhood memories on the beach. Young children react with a sense of awe and wonderment to the beach and are eager to explore it. We leave time in the portrait shoot so their curiosity can be satisfied and often times younger children are best photographed using this technique. Because we don't limit ourselves to the number of pictures we shoot on any session we are able to capture a large number of candid photographs of children being children and then present the best of the best in your bound proof portfolio with custom designed cover.

The best time to have your portraits shot along our Gulf Coast Beaches is the hour before sunset. The lighting has turned softer as the sun nears the horizon and turns a bit golden to produce the most flattering beach portraits possible. The low sun angle also adds dimensionality to the portraits. As a result, we like to limit our shoots to one a day starting about an hour before sunset and working a bit past sunset. The second option is sunrise as the sun works it's way up. The lighting on the beach at any other time may be too bright and could cast harsh shadows, cause excessive squinting, and is not very flattering.

We capture your portraits using state of the art Nikon digital cameras, lenses, and flashes. Shooting digital allows us to take hundreds of shots each session to get those perfect portraits. Your photographs are then displayed on our online storefront so they may be shared with your friends and relatives. We keep your portraits in the storefront for a year and present them in both color and black and white. We also prepare a bound proof portfolio with a unique custom designed cover that becomes a treasured keepsake documenting your Beach vacation along our Gulf Coast.
 

Pensacola Photography is located in Pensacola, Florida, but we will travel along the beautiful Gulf Coast of Florida and Alabama for your wedding, and even for your portrait shoot.   Coverage from Mobile, Baldwin and  Escambia Counties in Alabama, and Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa Counties in Florida is standard for us, if you are outside of these areas, please contact us; it is very possible we could arrange to travel to your area.
